The map created by the Strategic Program for Analyzing Complexity and Evaluating Systems (SPACES) team details the intersection between critical executive leadership skills as identified by interviewees and core functions of the South Africa Health System. Throughout the research process, including 47 interviews conducted in South Africa, we identified common themes across health system functions that prevent critical skills from becoming embedded at scale amongst health professionals.
